NOIR IN CHARCOAL
NEW COLLECTION
Noir in Charcoal explores the male form through shadow, texture, and dramatic contrast. Stripped of color, each piece focuses on gesture, expression, light, and the quiet intensity of the figure itself. The collection brings a darker, more intimate mood to SplashBear’s figurative work while continuing its celebration of masculine beauty and queer identity.
Created digitally using charcoal tools in Rebelle 8, these works embrace the raw, tactile quality of the medium—from soft, atmospheric grays to deep, velvety blacks. The result is a collection that feels both timeless and distinctly SplashBear.
The first prints from the Noir series will debut at the Paws, Claws and Creativity exhibition at the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center beginning September 17. Pieces will be available for purchase at the exhibition, with Noir collector cards and stickers also available at the Vendor Mart during Rehoboth Beach Bear Weekend, September 16–20.
